A blessed Easter to all our readers! Please join us at St. Vincent de Paul for Vespers of Low Sunday. The resurrected Christ appears to the disciples and St. Thomas makes his confession of faith: the risen man before the apostle is also the true God, bestowing great mercy upon mankind.
Out of unfathomable love, the eternal Word of God was made flesh to share with us everything pertaining to our human condition, with the exception of sin. For sin makes us less then human. But He, Our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, did not shun the bitter consequences of sin: sorrow, pain, death. He rather embraced them all so that we, even in the deepest pit of despair and degradation, be never left alone, may always have a chance to turn to Him, who walked the Way of Grief before us, and be saved. For by sharing in his sorrowful Passion, we also share in His glorious Resurrection. This Holy Week come and meditate on the Passion of Christ with us.
