Liturgical Pax's arrive

On the vigil of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the brothers and postulants gather in prayer for house vespers singing First Vespers of the Assumption.  Following vespers and prior to Recreation, Frater JP revealed the recently silver-plated Paxes for use by the Brothers during spiritual Exercises. Pagan Rome was funded by two carnal brothers, Romulus and Remus,  the first committing fratricide against the second. Christian Rome was funded by two spiritual brothers, St. Peter and Paul, who came to the capital of the Empire to give witness to the risen Christ and died for Him on the same day.  Come to St. Charles Parish in Imperial Beach where Fr. Burt Boudoin will offer the Traditional Latin Mass for  the feast of the two patrons of Rome.  The Brothers of the Little Oratory and Chorus Breviarii will sing the ordinary and propers in Gregorian chant and serve at the altar.   All are welcome!

Join us at St. Vincent de Paul church to celebrate Vespers of Easter time.  The loving relationship of the Holy Spirit between the Father  and the Son is what guarantees our joy: through Christ's  mediation our prayers are fulfilled by the Father.   This mystery is presented for us to meditate upon in the traditional Vespers liturgy in Gregorian chant.
