We are pleased to invite you to the celebration of the feast of the Apostle and Evangelist Matthew at St. Joseph Cathedral.  Solemn High Mass will be accompanied by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina's masterpiece Missa Papae Marcelli, along with Gregorian Chant proper. We are very grateful to Fr. Navarra, pastor, for his hospitality and we express also our deep gratitude to the priests of the Fraternity of St. Peter at St. Anne Catholic Church. Although the Missa Papae Marcelli is often performed at concerts, it can be more deeply appreciated in the context of the very liturgy it was composed for.
