"Tenebrae" is the sung offices of Matins and Lauds of each of the three days of the Sacred Triduum. Polyphonic music will include "Lamentations" and Responsories by Tomas Luis de Victoria, motet "Christus factus est" by Lopez-Capillas, and "Miserere" (Psalm 50) by Hernando Franco. There is no charge.

The 4th Sunday of Lent is known as "Laetare" (Rejoice)  Sunday, from the words in the Introit of the Mass.  In this world it is not always easy, but we are called to rejoice with confidence in the promise that was given to us by our Savior. The brothers will celebrate Vespers of Laetare Sunday at St. John of the Cross in Lemon Grove. Come and join us!

After the wondrous Ascension of Our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ, the 11 remaining Apostles chose St. Matthias to replace Judas the traitor. According to tradition, he went on to preach the Gospel in Asia Minor, where he found martyrdom. Come to St. Charles Borromeo in Imperial Beach for the Traditional Latin Mass sung in Gregorian chant to celebrate St. Matthias.
