Ladie Mass on Saturday, January 15

The Brothers had a wonderful way to start the new year: they met at St. John's the Evangelist for a Mass in honor of Our Lady. Fr. Neely celebrated at the side altar, which is rarely used these days.
A group shot at the shrine altar:

John, Rich, and special guest Matt sang the Mass for Three Voices by William Byrd, which beautifully complemented the Gregorian chants of the propers. Here you can hear two movements:

gloria mass 3 voices byrd
agnus mass 3 voices byrd

Roman Tenebrae

In celebration of their 10th Anniversary, here's a newly produced musical and liturgical video introduction to the Brothers of the Little Oratory in San Diego and Chorus Breviarii San Diego. Many thanks to Mr. Steve Marshall of John Paul the Great Catholic University in San Diego for his production time and talent, and to the La Jolla Renaissance Singers for their enthusiastic musical participation.
