Because of  his heroic virtues, he was canonized and declared Doctor of the Church in 1925. The Traditional Latin Mass for his feast day will be sung at St. Augustine's Monastery chapel this coming Friday at 19:30 (7:30 PM). Come and join us!

Monday, April 23, 19:30 (7:30 PM)

Sung Mass in the Extraordinary Form
for the Feast of St. George

Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Federico Masutti, F.S.S.P.

On April 23, we celebrate the feast of a famous saint and martyr about whom very little is actually known. However, the legend of St. George slaying the dragon is universally famous, providing a powerful and fascinating archetype, an image of the triumph of reason, enlightened by faith, over the passions that had imprisoned the soul. Come to  St. John of the Cross in Lemon Grove and experience the Traditional Latin Mass for the feast of St. George.
