This year is the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great Catholic educator St. Giovanni Bosco (1815-1888). The Brothers of the Little Oratory will honor him by singing and serving a Traditional Latin Mass on his feast day. A guest choir will sing the ordinary in polyphony, while selected brothers will sing the proper in Gregorian chant. A relic of the saint will be exposed to the faithful for veneration. After Mass, we move to the parish hall, where John Polhamus will show how St. John Bosco took inspiration from the teachings of St. Philip Neri. Finally, the 1936 Italian movie Don Bosco (with English subtitles) will be shown in the parish hall. The event is free of charge and all are welcome.
