Hebdomadary: Rev. Fr. Raymond Philip Napuli

As the paschal season comes to an end, we hear how the resurrected Lord bids farewell to His disciples. These are understandably sad, hearing how the God-man will soon leave them to return to the Father, from Whom He was generated before all ages. But Our Savior assures them that their sadness will soon turn into joy, when they receive the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. As the disciples had to renounce the bodily visits of Our Lord, so our relationship with God cannot be based on what simply gratifies our senses. Rather, reborn in Christ through baptism, we need to grow a heart that seeks only what is pleasing to God and where the Holy Spirit may come to dwell. Experience all this through Vespers in Gregorian chant.
