Sung Traditional Latin Mass
for the Feast of St. Valentine
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Burt J. Boudoin
Although he is one of the most popular saints in the calendar, almost nothing certain is known about St. Valentine, except that he was a priest and a martyr during the times of the III century Roman emperor Claudius II. The fact that he became the patron saint of affianced couple is a curious development. But, as a martyr for Christ, he was a messenger of true Love, to which every human love must conform, lest it regresses to a brutish passion. On St. Valentine's day, come to the Traditional Latin Mass, sung by the Brothers in Gregorian chant and with a guest polyphonic choir.
